This is such a cute and silly story about finding the belly button and the baby while teaching kids the names of body parts. All of my kids absolutely loved this book when they were toddlers. I actually had two copies because they read them so much, and by the end, both books were completely torn apart from being so loved and used every day.

Through the story, children learn the names of different body parts and emotions, but more importantly, they learn that every part of who they are is loved and accepted.

I like reading The Dot to my kids because of its heartwarming story about courage and encouragement. With the simple words, “Just make a mark and see where it takes you,” it inspires children to try, own their abilities, and believe in themselves. The book also shows how a teacher’s encouragement can spark confidence and change a child’s path.

Both my kids enjoyed the book, but my daughter was mesmerized, even pretending to be the character. Laurie Hernandez’s story shows how hard work and perseverance can take you far, and I love how it highlights her whole family.

I’d love to read this book to them and help them understand that each of us is unique and it’s important to like ourselves. A story of Penguin and Giraffe, who think their differences are problems—until they discover those traits are their greatest blessings.

Love this books for kiddos because it is rhythmic. A poetic book that teaches children numbers and the alphabet. My kids love it from 1 all the way to 4 years old.
